Our parents, Bob and Colleen (deceased) MacDonald moved to Fairview, Nova Scotia in 1975. They were proud Cape Bretoners who instilled tremendous confidence in me (Craig) and my brother, Clarke. They taught us to be extremely proud of where we came from.

I was born and raised in Fairview. From an early age, I could see that Fairview was a close knit and fearless community. A strong sense of sisterhood and brotherhood echoed in the streets of Fairview among the “Fairview Girls” and “Fairview Boys” who lived there. I loved hearing the Legendary Fairview Stories and I’d listen with great attention and amusement.

It was a wonderful neighbourhood to grow up in. I spent countless hours attending Burton Ettinger School, playing baseball at W. D. Piercey Field, and playing hockey at Centennial Arena – which I still do to this day.

For Clarke, Fairview was a world of great climbing trees, cool hang-out spots, and adventures only a bike-ride away.

This is why we sport our Fairview Legend Wear with tremendous pride. To the Fairview people – stay awesome. To the next generation of Fairview Girls and Fairview Boys from “da hood,” you got this…sky’s the limit.

Thank you for all your support.

Ahh, Let’s Go, Turn it Up!
Proud Fairview Boy,
Craig MacDonald, #9
